High School-Week 2 Poll

I've got a new contributing writer, who, at least for now, will go by the moniker TronBlaster. Tron will be picking up much of the high school beat because of his expertise, although I will continue to provide links and comments on Saturdays.

As his introduction, he has provided his rankings of public Howard County high school teams,

--Nate Sandstrom

TronBlaster's Howard County Power Rankings
1. River Hill 1-0 Michael Campanaro + Zach Martin = Trouble
2. Wilde Lake 1-0 A better quarterback gives Wilde Lake the edge over Atholton, but this will be decided on the field Friday night
3. Atholton 1-0 Kelichi Odocha is no joke
4. Reservoir 1-0 Ready for prime time, looked very impressive against Long Reach
5. Glenelg 0-1 Butch Schaffer tried to tell everyone, Glenelg is down this season
6. Centennial 0-1 Struggling to rebuild as well, but a good coaching staff will keep them from plummeting
7. Howard 1-0 Winning a shoot out over Oakland Mills doesn't prove much, but they've got some good players
8. Long Reach 0-1 Exposed by Reservoir, Long Reach is in for a long season
9. Marriotts Ridge 1-0 Still a little undersized, but Seker is one of the best passers in the league, and he's got some good targets
10. Hammond 0-1 They've got some studs in skill positions, so I can't explain their loss to MR, unless MR is just that good...
11. Mt. Hebron 0-1 Hard to glean anything from a 48-0 shutout to River Hill
12. Oakland Mills 0-1 They're better this season, but can they get out of the basement?
